Capabilities

Design, make and prove it, under one roof.

Most jobs cross more than one trade. Doing the design, the machining, the fabrication and the wiring in one place means fewer handovers and one person who understands the whole part.

CNC machining

Prototypes, one-offs and small batches, machined and checked to the drawing.

  • Multi-axis milling on a Mitsui Seiki HU63A horizontal machining centre.
  • CNC turning on a Mazak QTN200MS, with live tooling and a sub-spindle to finish both ends in one cycle.
  • Aluminium, steels, stainless, titanium and engineering plastics.
  • Anodising and other finishes arranged with trusted local suppliers.

Wire EDM

Gears, splines, rotors and fine profiles cut in hardened steel, with no cutting forces.

  • 4-axis wire EDM for tapered and ruled profiles.
  • Sinker EDM for blind pockets, fine detail and sharp internal corners a cutter can't reach.
  • Involute gears and splines cut from exact geometry, not approximated tooth forms.
  • Hardened material cut after heat treatment, so there is no distortion to chase.

Motorsport engineering

Dry-sump systems, driveline and chassis parts for race and high-performance cars.

  • Our own dry-sump oil pumps, designed for each engine.
  • Sumps, brackets, housings and adaptors made to suit.
  • Driveline, suspension and chassis parts, designed and made here.

Design and engineering

From a sketch or a problem to a finished, checked design: CAD, drawings and the analysis behind them.

  • 3D CAD and drawings in Fusion 360, ready to make here or anywhere.
  • Analysis where the part has to carry load, heat or flow: FEA, CFD and engineering models in Python.
  • Design for manufacture: parts drawn to be machined, cut and assembled the way they will actually be made.
  • Reverse engineering from a worn or obsolete part, with 3D scanning where it helps.

Fabrication and welding

TIG and MIG welding, brackets, mounts and fabricated assemblies.

  • TIG and MIG welding in steel, stainless and aluminium.
  • Brackets, mounts, fixtures and fabricated assemblies.
  • Laser-cut and folded sheet parts, drawn here and cut by trusted suppliers.

Automation and robotics

Machine and robot programming, commissioning and site installations.

  • PLC and industrial robot programming.
  • Commissioning and site installations.
  • Special-purpose machines and fixtures, designed and built.

Also in the workshop

  • 3D scanning
  • FDM and resin 3D printing
  • CO₂ laser cutting and engraving
